Unigro has designed and built a state-of-the-art Plant Reception and Quarantine Unit at Kew Gardens, which has just been formally opened by the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Richard Benyon MP.
The Unit has been built with biosecurity and containment as the top priorities, and is unique not just across the UK, but the whole of Europe.
The highly contained facilities had to meet strict standard procedures which now means that Kew has secured a Plant Health Licence allowing it to keep its precious collection of rare and interesting plants safe from pests and diseases.
